We recognise that sponsoring an event is much more than simply attaching your company logo to everything!
So, and to ensure that sponsors achieve very real ROI from their investment, we have created some exciting and unique sponsorship packages to ensure sponsors receive significant profile to a targeted audience within the travel writing community, importantly both pre- and post-event.
To ensure maximum awareness and profile for the event sponsors all awards are presented by the sponsors.
The Travel Media Awards were created in 2015 to recognise excellence in travel media, journalism, broadcasting and photography.
The Awards are now universally recognised as the leading national travel media awards event in the UK, last year attracting over 600 entries across all categories, including some of the leading names in travel media, both consumer and trade. The shortlisted titles in 2017 included The Sunday Telegraph, The Sunday Times, Metro, The Daily Mail, TTG, Travelmole, Lonely Planet Traveller, Wanderlust, and Escapism to list just a very few.
The Travel Media Awards are attended by some of the UK’s leading travel writers, national newspaper travel editors, representatives from consumer and travel trade titles, and broadcasters and photographers; other guests at the event include tour operators, travel agents, and representatives from specialist travel PR companies, airlines, destination management companies and tourist boards.
275 travel writers, broadcasters and photographers plus invited guests attended the 2016 Awards at a glittering ceremony hosted at the fabulous ME London Hotel to recognise and network with the winners and finalists, the very best of the UK travel media.
A total of 19 awards were presented, with winners including leading media brands such as The Sunday Times, Metro, TTG, Harper’s Bazaar and Selling Travel. The evening culminated in the presentation of a Special Contribution Award to former MP and now-recognised travel broadcaster Michael Portillo.
Five finalists from each award category will be invited as guests of the Award sponsors, making the event one of the single largest gatherings of trade and consumer media in the UK.
The event will begin with a Champagne reception at 6.30pm, with awards presented from 7.15pm; a networking session will follow with drinks and canapes being served. The date of the 2018 Travel Media Awards will be announced in the coming months.
