Breathe magazine invites the reader to discover new ways of finding personal fulfilment, peace and greater happiness.

Described as ‘the original mindfulness’ magazine, Breathe is divided into five sections – Wellbeing, Living, Mindfulness, Creativity and Escape. Breathe’s Anne Guillot talks us through her winning entry for Escape, the Consumer Magazine Section of the Year.

Why did you enter Breathe for a Travel Media Award?
We wanted to highlight our difference! We felt Breathe’s Escape section would make an interesting entry for this award. It has the potential to comfort, awe and inspire our readers to discover new places, which are close, far and beyond — with a wide range of engaging and uplifting content, complemented by award-winning photography and compelling artwork.

What does it mean to you to have won this award?
We’re thrilled to have won the ‘Consumer Magazine Section of the Year’ Award as it not only recognises the team’s hard work and dedication, but also validates the magazine’s unique concept, original copy and ingenious design.

Will you be entering again next year?
Yes. I never have any expectations of winning but always the expectation that when I attend the event, I’ll be able to catch up with contemporaries and friends I rarely see.
