We were finally able to hold an in-person event, with a highly-anticipated Winners Lunch on 7 July at the Kimpton Fitzroy London.

It was wonderful for the winners to receive their trophies and toast their success at the outdoor drinks reception and sit-down lunch. The winners of the 2020 Travel Media Awards were announced at an online ceremony in January this year, but Covid had prevented in person gatherings.

Giles Harper, co-founder of the Travel Media Awards, commented, “We have waited some 10 months to meet the 2020 award winners in person and for them to finally collect their winners trophies, so it was great to do so: we now looking forward to welcoming the very best of the UK’s travel media to the 2021 awards on 18 October at the Kimpton Fitzroy London.”

Anthony Leyens, CEO of APL Media and co-founder of the Travel Media Awards, said, “The standard of entries for the 2020 awards was particularly high, so it was fantastic to be able to finally celebrate the achievements of the winners in person. The Travel Media Awards are usually one of the highlights of the year for us and the 2021 awards will be a very special evening.”

Our team of judges are currently assessing the hundreds of entries to the 2021 awards and the finalists will be announced on 6 September.
