Celebrating outstanding talent within the travel media industry
The Travel Media Awards, launched in 2015, is widely recognised as the premier awards event in travel media, and the only UK national awards exclusively recognising editorial excellence and achievement across all forms of media.
Each category is judged by a panel of three, comprised of two leading travel industry personnel alongside an established travel editor or writer.
A panel of 60 judges from top travel businesses and media evaluated the 2024 awards. In 2024, 23 exceptional journalists, publications, broadcasters, and photographers were recognised across various categories, including the new Accessible Travel Writer of the Year, Specialist Travel Writer awards, and Emerging Writer of the Year. Notably, Sir Michael Palin CBE received the Special Contribution Award for his remarkable 40-year career in travel writing and broadcasting.
