A closer look at the work you could be doing as a TMA Step Up intern

News Step Up

The Travel Media Awards Step Up internship is designed to give you meaningful, hands-on experience in travel media. Over eight weeks, you’ll contribute to real projects, while working alongside industry professionals and learning how travel stories, campaigns and content come to life.

Each intern spends four weeks with two different partner organisations, offering exposure to both editorial, PR and marketing environments. This is a rare opportunity to explore different roles, build a broad skill set and gain a clearer sense of where your interests lie.

Below, you’ll find an overview of the partner companies involved in Step Up 2026 and the type of work interns will be involved in during their placements.
