Each category is judged by a panel of three people — two travel industry personnel and one travel editor or travel writer, with media judges only judging in non-competing categories.

Since the awards began, it’s been our policy to ensure no single judge judges the same category two years running, something we know entrants to the awards recognise and appreciate. A minimum of 25% of judges are new to the awards each and every year.
